No Devices Found

My Forerunner 305 will charge using the USB and the computer, but when trying to update myconnect, I get the No Devices Found error.

So, I have done the USB drivers update and the Garmin connect software update and they show fine, but the Forerunner 305 will not work and gets the No Devices Found error no matter what.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  • Are you able to upload your data to Training Center? If not, then usually this issue is due to some bad data on the device. Here are some steps you can try, attempting to upload after each step:

    * Do a soft reset: lap + mode
    * Erase all courses
    * Erase all but the last month's history
    * Erase all but un-uploaded history
    * Do a hard reset: mode + power (this will erase all data and put your device back to day one condition)

    Device not found

    I am having the same problem. I now have several runs that I can't get transferred because the USB will not connect. Been training since March for a Marathon, using my Garmin since May. Full marathon is coming up and now I can't track my progress!! Very frustrated.:mad:

    No Device Found

    I have the same problem with a Garmin Forerunner 110. The watch intermittently does not connect. This is very frustrating. I have a desk top IMac and a lap top Mac PowerBook Pro. On both machines, the No Device See message appears. This morning, I'm trying to upload data from my last week of running and the device is not seen. I've been through this before, and once the shop where I bought the watch replaced it after only one week. The next time, they did a hard reset and all of the data was lost. I have two separate USB cables, so I know it is not this. Plus, the watch is charging, so obviously the cable contacts are good.

    Any help is appreciated.

    I have the same problem with my new Garmin Forerunner 210. Very frustrated - just spent two hours trying to get my Garmin to talk to my laptop PC running Vista.

    I can see this being a regular problem thats going to pish me off.
