I used my nuvi 1350T for two days with no problems. After I obtained a usb I registered it and download the latest map update. It erased all my local maps. It now only shows the interstates and main highways. When I try to access map management, activate, unlock maps on garmin.com I get a blank page. PLEASE HELP. :confused::mad:
I've just had the most frustrating out-of-the-box experience. Bought a Garmin nuvi 1350T at Frye's after work today because tomorrow I'm starting a cross-country drive. Plugged it in with the USB to make sure I got the latest maps and software. Everything appeared to download fine, but it can't unlock the maps! Totally useless piece of junk without maps. So I should call Support, right? But they're closed all weekend. I am not a happy camper...
Ditto. Just purchased my nuvi 1350. Worked fine to start. Same day I went to Europe. Downloaded and installed European maps with no problem onto a microSD card. Worked fine in Europe. Came home and connected the nuvi to my computer to update the North American maps. Nothing but "Error". Now the thing is useless because I can't get the maps to install. Only major highways appear. And oh ya....no customer support on Weekends. Real nice Garmin.
From Garmin support:
"If you are receiving a error at step 3 this could mean the gps is not being provided enough power by the usb port.
Please ensure that you are not connecting the gps through any USB splitters or ports built into keyboards or the front of a computer tower. I would suggest disconnecting all other usb devices from the computer with the exception of a keyboard/mouse. I have seen some printers cause the computer to not provide enough power to other devices which can cause problems during the map update."
I unplugged my printer (USB connection to PC) and everything worked.
I have a new Garmin nuvi 1350. I have updated all software (version 2.3) and drivers as well as the communicator. When I plug the unit into the computer using the USB port the computer does not recognize the Garmin unit. I deleted all software and reloaded and still it will not detect the Garmin. I have also tried plugging the USB cord in to 3 different ports and still no luck. My computer has windows XP. I have checked other devices that I connect to the computer i.e. a Kodak camera easy share that I plugged in and the computer detects that and other devices with no problem. I have read on several forums that some people are having the same problems but there are no resolutions.
Download maps and updates. Lost maps, don't see any roads, hwy's, interstates at all. Still have fav's and other things. Gives me time of arrival to a favorite place and arrival time is wrong and I don't see the time on the screen.
