LR Defender td5 and ecoroute HD not working

Hi all,

bought an ecoroute HD to use it together with my 1490Tpro in a 2004 LR Defender 110 td5. The car has a connector that fits perfectly into the HD and it even gets power from the plug. My 1490Tpro then connects to the HD recognizing it correctly.

Afterwards it asks me to turn on the engine and tries to get data. After a while I get a message stating "HD failed to receive data from car engine".

Question 1: did anyone get the HD working on a td5?
Question 2: is the td5 connector OBD II compliant and shoukd it work at all?

Hi I just bought 1490tv and the hd lead as I have a discovery 2 td5 2003 spec tried to set up, it detected but
failed to connect tried severel times, just updating software again but not expecting any change. have emailed garmin but got to wait 3 bussiness days for reply, i check for compatability issues before buying, so I am not very happy as you can imagine, will post again if i get a solution.

anyone else got news or solutions on this.
