My street pilot c510 when I switch it on, it begins to boot up I get the screen picture and then the small writing at the bottom, then it goes off to a blank screen. When I plug it into my car charger cable and turn on it does the same thing. I have connected the unit to my pc and it begins booting up and then the screen picture changes from the beach seaside to having a computer and sat nav on the screen too. I do not seem to be able to switch it on or off or do anything whilst it is connected to my pc, it stays like this. I have tried to reset and reset the unit with the reset button, I have even tried to disconnect the battery plug and hold the power button for 10 seconds or more and then reconnect, but this has not stopped it turning itself off as it is trying to boot up on switching it on. One thing I can say is yesterday the sat nav was connected to my pc for about 8 hours whilst the pc was on and later i disconnected the sat and it did switch on and had one bar life in the battery indicator, but now this morning it is not booting up to the navigate screen. Please can someone help me with understanding the problem, could it be my battery has a problem, but its doing the same with the power lead in the car charger too, this used to power up the unit in the car no problem.
