Questions on Garmin Training Center and Garmin Connect

I used to use GTC to download my rides until it stopped saving my data. Then I switched to using Garmin Connect.

Question on GTC - I can download my ride data and see it, but when I close and open GTC the data isn't saved. I uninstalled and installed the program with no success. Any ideas on how to get it to save the data?

Question on Garmin Connect - One of the reasons that I'm trying to get GTC to work is to see grade data. Is there anyway to see road grade data using Garmin Connect?

    Same problem w/ GTC - not saving

    I just started having the same problem with Garmin Training Center. I open it and it is missing 2 months of data. I connect my FR305 and it imports it as normal. I can add notes and move things around, but when I close, it is gone.

    I use GTC because I have nearly 1200 miles running and 500 miles biking in there and don't want to deal with all that data online.

    I am hoping someone else has a suggestion.

    Updating Software

    Have you checked to see if there is a newer version of Garmin Connect? Also be sure there is not a newer version of Training Center. I'd try to update software through Training Center first, and if that didn't do it I'd look for the updated download for Garmin Connect (separate programs but I think they are both required for things to work seamlessly?).
    Sorry for the lame reply, but just maybe...
    On the other hand, be sure you have a clean machine (ie. get all your updates and scan thoroughly).

    Connect is a website not a program so the latest version is what you see when you go there. Do you mean newer version of Ant Agent ?

    I know with the 405 you have to delete activities on the watch to prevent older ones getting summarised when it runs out of memory. The summarised versions then replace the full versions it GTC. Do you have to do the same thing on the 305 ?

    FR305 overwrites older data leaving basic information behind. Not sure that the file size of GTC would be a problem as my wife's GTC information goes back to 2006 and reflects a substantial amount or training - 4 Ironman events, an ultramarathon, a marathon, several half ironman events and a reasonable number of smaller triathlons, duathlons and runs.
