Can't Find Locations

Just got a Nuvi 255W. Found a restaurant I'm goping to. Couldn't find a townhouse address in another state, couldn't find Muir Woods, California, couldn't find Giant Sequoia Park. Wny ideas on what to do?
I'm having the same problem. Drove down from montanna's to LA. Montanna, Idaho worked fine, got to Utah nothing. Same with Nevada and California, nothing. What did I spend a $100 on the update for?
