I'm not sure if this has already been requested but there is a box called "Laps" in the activity view details window. It displays the km/mile markers, a very good feature but it has to be clicked for every activity. Can it be set as default ON for all activities?
.. to continue. I've just noticed that this feature is not available if "laps" has not been activated in the device (F 305). It still must be possible to display km/mile markers, shouldn't it? It works in "mapmyride.com
I would like to know how to make the mile markers show on the map when it is uploaded to garmin connect. I dont get them to show, but would like to. Is it possible and how to do it? Thanks!
If you enable the auto-lap function and set the auto-lap distance to 1mi, the watch will create a lap marker every 1mi. When you get your workout into Garmin Connect, if you look to the top-right corner of the map, there is a checkbox that says Laps next to it. If you check the box, the map will display the lap markers that your watch recorded.
If you just want to see mile markers, but don't want to use the auto-lap functionality, or you're already using auto-lap for something else, the closest that I can come up with is to click the Save as Course button on the activity page. Once the course editor is up, check Mile Markers option.
I have the autolap function enabled on my 305 and it used to show the markers on the map when I checked the box. Just recently it's not showing the laps..only the route I ran, even though the laps are shown in the table on the let hand side of the screen with the split times. Does you know why the laps are no longer showing on the map? Since this has started to happened, my longest run is not being recorded as a personal best. The two seemed linked. Do you have any thoughts .
I have a 410. Same problem ever since Feb. 15. Auto lap is enabled on my watch, and I get the lap times on the left but they don't display on the route when I check the box. Seems to be a common issue since mid Feb.
