eTrex HCX & BlueCharts

This is all VERY new to me so here goes some questions I don't seem to be able to find answers for via the search.

Can I use/ load my Bluecharts Americas into my HCX?
Can I connect my HCX to my laptop and see my track on the laptop vs the HCX device?
Am I expecting too much?

My goal is to be able to use these 3 items (laptop & bluecharts and my HCX) together while sailing.

BlueCharts will work with the eTrex HCX, as long as each map you send to the device has less than 2025 mapsets.. (BlueCharts Americas 8.5 has over 5000).

The new G2 BlueCharts have additional Satellite imagery that only shows on the Marine GPS's, Oregons, and 62/78 Series. It will still show the vector charts, you'll just be missing some of the new eye candy.
