Dakota. Low quality custom waypoint symbols

Hi all!

I really want to change the original waypoint symbols in my Dakota and have also managed to do so (are changing from american roadsigns to swedish).

But the original Garmin symbols are really high, technical quality. The pictures are clear at all zoom-levels on the map and in the waypoint list. The pictures I´ve loaded to my Dakota are made from really high quality original vector images of roadsigns and I´ve used photoshop to edit them and save them as 22x22 pixels BMP. But in the Dakota the are unclear and the edges are extremely jagged. It just doesn't look nice! Especially in the waypoint-list it looks really bad. I've tried different sizes but the original Garmin symbols still look much, much better!

Does anyone know the tech-spec for the original images and/or have ANY ideas how I can make my custom symbols look as good as the original ones?

Well, I figured out how to make them look great. But since it appears that there's no one that's active on this forum I've posted the solution on another forum where a thread actually can get a reply!

I have to agree with you on the Icons. I have an Oregon and the icons are so small they are nearly not visible. Much improvement is required in the icon department.
