Highway Exit Ramps

Has anyone experienced situations where the GPS routes you off a highway exit ramp and then right back on again?

I've had this happen numerous times on long routes (mainly on right-hand bends). Instead of keeping us on the highway, the unit directs us off the highway, across the intersecting road, and right back on the highway again.

It's almost like it's trying to save a few feet or something.

I have a Zumo 550, current on all software, maps, etc. Can't find the issue in MapSource....so I wonder if it's a Zumo routing issue? I've had this happen in Georgia and West Virginia so far.
  • I've had that happen a couple of times with a garmin quest using the european city maps, in the UK (also what ever a hired honda CV5 uses for a gps!)

I just thought that it was a new flyover that the map did not know about. and took me dow to the old roundabout.
