update maps on 1350T

Hi all,

I downloaded the free 2010 north american map update for garmin 1350T, but when the garmin loads up it still has 2009. I'm a complete newbie, does the new map update have to be unlocked? If so, can someone please tell me how?

Did you download it to the GPS or the COMPUTER?

You might try it again, with the Garmin hooked directly to the computer via usb. If you just downloaded it to the computer, that might be the problem. When you download the update, choose the Garmin as the destination, not Mapquest.
