I am having the same issues. I have an htc touch with windows mobile 6.1 It finds my phone and most times it shows my phone book history etc. and then after a while it will show no data found. It is hit and miss. Any solutions?
I am having the same problem and it REALLY stinks!
I LOVE my new Garmin, its AWESOME! But, it stinks that i had to pay almost $300 for certain technology (bluetooth) that basically works when it wants. The phone DOES connect via bluetooth to the Garmin but its "hit or miss" to get the phone book and call history to show up.
I'm not sure if its my phone though? I'm going to go to an Apple store and have them test the bluetooth although it does seem to be working fine?
I wonder, is there a way to install phone numbers on the Garmin unit itself and leave them there? Then when you hit dial it should dial it for you on your phone?
Again, the phone connects and thats great but it would be very nice to be able to use the GPS unit 100% of the time while driving. After all, thats why I opt for the more expensive unit!
I want to know who is calling when it says incoming call!!!
And I want a phone book!!!
I understand that it might take a few minutes to link/upload but I had the unit on for an hour or two today and still NOTHING!!!
I think the best answer for Garmin is to let us know how to create a folder on the unit to manually install names and phone numbers.
Well, at least I have 30 days to see if Garmin is up for the challenge?
In the mean time I might start considering Magellan???

Hi all I got this unit thinking it was what I needed. Sadly on my E63 it shows all but the phone book. Iv only had it for 2 days but I managed a work around and got all my contacts on the unit. It is not a complete solution but i am able to call people without knowing their number. I am a developer and managed to convert vcf contents to a working gpx file which i can access via extras poi section I am still tinkering but it works and i hope to extend it to get them to favourites Custom POI don't seem to allow saving into favourites but I AM NO EXPERT
So i will prob keep the unit as it generally works well enough but now i have to fix the cig lighter and mount it Cheers
