Nuvi 1490T doesn't go past Garmin screen, won't show up as a mass storage device...

...when connected to the computer.

When I turn it on, it just shows the Garmin logo and will simply sit there. The trick of holding the power button for 30 seconds does nothing. I also can't do a hard reset because that requires the unit progressing past the screen that it is stuck on.

Please help! I have somewhere to go tomorrow!

    For what it's worth, mine developed the same symptoms, on June 21. Coincidence?

    Mine did too and the same way - not even able to hard reset. I was glad I'd gotten it at Costco so I could bring it back. Really disappointed because I had been loving it. Not sure what a good replacement is. Let me know if you found something suitable!
