MY Garmin Nuvi 265W or Garmin Nuvi 265WT GPS Troubles

We bought this GPS unit from Costco a little over one year ago. A few weeks ago, the machine started giving us trouble. I checked the battery level and found it low and charged it by plugging the USB cable provided directly into my IMAC. The battery charged. I updated the map about a week ago and now the machine will restart itself without me prompting it to. It did it several times on the way to an event last Saturday and yesterday. I hope there is an easy answer to this one.

I would appreciate any answers or suggestions.

I experienced similar problems following a map update. I fixed it by doing a Hard Reset as per instructions found on www.garmin.com/support.
Running Webupdater from the Garmin site would also be a good idea.

Yes. I agree. I had the same problem. I found a garmin nuvi 265wt review site and they told me to do that also.

They did not recommend a hard reset coz you may lose your Custom POIs, etc.
