Communication with other users

There should be an option as it does facebook, twitter and other Web 2.0 applications to contact other Garmin Connect users, lets say I do a search for POIs or specific routes and find there is a user that did that route already, I would like to have the option to ping that user to share experiences or maybe run, ride together and be able to create a community from Connect.. that would be great.., other case, would be if I travel and take a look at garmin connect and I am able to contact the locals and run/ride with them.

    I like this as well
  • Agreed. Seems like a no-brainer to connect with other Garmin users. Especially useful for teams.

I agree, I am in the Fort Bragg, NC. area and i can tell you there are hundreds of forerunner users on base that are constantly used. The community you would have from here alone would be HUGE!!! not only could we compete with each other but we could log team miles as well... do it for the soldiers!!! j/k but please think about it as that is the only thing Nike+ has got right, however i still would not use Nike+ because any serious runner knows that the way Nike calculates distance is very primitive.

Right, Garmin should keep running as well, and keep ahead of their competitors, Iphone+nike is a good combination today as well and they do have a very nice application and interface, so Garmin is this too much to ask?
