Downloading data from my Garmin

So I requested a download of my data from Garmin expecting that I be able to get all my data.  No!!!  Its mostly a lot of empty files and some office type stuff.  So how can i actually download my running data? I have a forerunner 265S.

  • You will need to access your account page on garmin.com then request a copy of personal and fitness data from Garmin applications.

Accessing your Personal Data from Garmin

There is also the option to export a full day of wellness data or a specific activity from Garmin Connect in the following file formats

    • Export File

      • The file type will be in the original file format from the device, typically a .fit file.

    • Export to TCX

    • Export to GPX

    • Export to Google Earth

    • Export Splits to CSV

  • If you're looking for your uploaded running activities, the last time I checked they were in "\DI_CONNECT\DI-Connect-Uploaded-Files." Inside, you should find several zip files, depending on how much data you have. Within those zip files, your activities should be in their original file format, based on how they were initially created.

As mentioned in the link provided by

    Finding Activity Files

If you are looking for the individual activity data to upload to a new account or a third-party site, follow these steps:

    1. Open the zipped folder.
    2. Open the DI_CONNECT folder.
    3. Open the DI-Connect-Fitness-Uploaded-Files or DI-Connect-Uploaded-Files folder.
    4. Your activities will show as FIT files.
