Training Plans

Hi,

Trying to get the hang of the differences between Garmin Connect and Garmin Training Centre. I like the fact that I can upload a pre-written training plan into the GTC calendar - it would be great if tis was possible for Connect.

If this is possible already, I'd love to hear how to do it - thanks in advance.

    What am I missing?

Connect is great for looking at completed workouts. Nice graphs, nice maps etc. But why oh why can't you upload a training plan like you can in GTC?? The ability to upload a plan into the GTC calendar and send it to your device is fantastic.

But - the maps, graphs and everything else about GTC is terrible. Clunky, poor interface design, loss of detail on the graphs etc.

So, do I have to use both Connect and GTC to achieve a planning and review capability? If so - TERRIBLE Garmin. Can't you choose one of these platforms and major on it?

Totally agree with you. Come on Garmin, please fix this.

    Completely agree

I didn't look into the software support side too much when I bought my Garmin - but wow! What a disappointment!!

GTC is great to plan training, but rubbish for reviewing results. Garmin Connect has great maps and graphs but the calendar has no ability to plan training - why not??

Please Garmin - finish the job properly.

    Agreed

+2, this would be a great feature.

I've never really used GTC as it didn't look nice. (I know ) But now I'm more serious about my training, Connect doesn't seem sufficient (looks nice though).

Can the best parts of each not be combined into one great utility?
