screen protectors;will they void warranty?

Hi I was wondering if screen protectors such as used on portable PC's etc to protect the touch screen would void my warranty? I would think Garmin would be glad we used them because there would be less touch screen problems. I am an electronics tech and I install them frequently on customers devices to make the touchscreen last longer.

Don't know about the warranty, but I tried installing one on my nuvi 1390 and I couldn't get the touch screen to work at all. Had to remove it.
