Custom activity profile names ignored for swimming activities

I noticed an inconsistency in Garmin Connect when using copied activity profiles on a Forerunner 570.

My Garmin Connect setting for Activity Name is set to Location & Device Activity Name.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Copy the Cardio activity on the watch and rename it to "Test".
  2. Record and sync an activity.
  3. Garmin Connect correctly displays Test / Cardio.

However:

  1. Copy Pool Swim and rename it, for example, to "HR Swim".
  2. Record and sync an activity.
  3. Garmin Connect displays Pool Swim / Pool Swim, ignoring the custom profile name.

The same happens with a copied and renamed Open Water Swim profile.

I also checked the FIT files. The custom profile names ("Test", "HR Swim", etc.) are correctly stored in the FIT sport record. So the watch appears to save the custom profile name correctly, but Garmin Connect ignores it for swimming activities.

This seems to be specific to how Garmin Connect interprets swimming activities, since the same procedure works correctly with Cardio.
