Bug Report: ”XC Ski Indoor" activity does not sync to any connected third-party app (Strava, intervals.icu, Runalyze)

Activities recorded with the "XC Ski Indoor" profile record correctly and appear in Garmin Connect with full data, but they are never forwarded to any connected third-party partner (Strava, intervals.icu, Runalyze). Every other activity type from the same watch syncs normally.

Can you import a 'XC Ski Indoor' to any of the 3rd party services manually, or is it rejected there too? If it can't be imported manually, then it means the respective 3rd party did not implement that…

It seems that XC Ski Indoor is a new activity type for Fenix 9. That is likely the reason to why it isn't syncing correctly. Report it as a bug to Garmin: https://support.garmin.com and in the Fenix 9 forum: fēnix 9 Series

If it can't be imported manually, then it means the respective 3rd party did not implement that sport type yet. In such case, rather than contacting Garmin, reach out to the support of the 3rd party. Garmin could not help anyway, if the 3rd party does not support the sport.

Yes, manual import works without any issue. I exported the FIT file from an 'XC Ski Indoor' activity and imported it manually into the third-party services and it shows up under the correct sport type, exactly as expected.

Given that the FIT file can be imported manually, we can conclude that this is a bug in Garmin Connect. It's exactly as e7Andy says — Garmin has forgotten to include the new activity in the sync. That was a big help with the troubleshooting, but why was the thread marked as solved? The bug is clearly still there.
