Asides from the sub-par user experience to correctly input course points, it's also still buggy.
For years, Garmin seemed to not know that out-and-back trails existed, meaning when you tried to add a course point to the second half of the route, it would map it to the first half. I thought they'd finally fixed this, but they haven't.
Now, you add a course point, add it to the route, and if it's a part of the route you pass twice (e.g. an out-and-back), it; says "The course crosses this location multiple times. Where do you want to place the course point?", and you can select the appropriate kilometer. That's promising, but it doesn't work. Even if I select the kilometer on the return leg, it still adds it to the first occasion I pass that point.
In the below prompt, I select 13.69km, yet when I save and look at my course points, it shows the 7.66km option.
