I did a 103 mile bike ride yesterday and used my garmin 500 as well as another bike computer to monitor-
the garmin logged 103 1-mile laps, but according to garmin connect the bike ride total was 78 miles-
before connecting to garmin connect the edge showed the ride as 103 miles, consistent with the other computer and with the number of laps.
the route, as shown on the accompanying gps map, is accurate, and the distance from start to finish may well be 78 miles as the crow flies. the ride duration has also been compressed from over 6 hours to 4:21, which may comply with the reduced mileage times the calculated average speed(17.8mph), however the moving time is still shown as closer to the actual, at 5:47.
have I made a settings error??
