I have been experiencing two related regressions on Garmin Connect Web that started approximately 1–2 months ago (around May–June 2026). I made no changes to my data fields or my setup during this period.
Issue 1 — Installed IQ data fields no longer listed on the activity page
On the activity detail page in Garmin Connect Web, there is normally a sidebar section that shows which Connect IQ data fields were active during the workout (below the watch icon, above equipment). This section has stopped appearing entirely for my activities. The same activities viewed in the Garmin Connect mobile app correctly show the installed data fields.
Issue 2 — FIT contribution charts not rendering on Garmin Connect Web
I have 2–3 data fields that write custom metrics to the FIT file using FitContributor (MESG_TYPE_RECORD, DATA_TYPE_FLOAT). For over a year these charts displayed correctly on both the web and mobile. Since approximately the same time period, the charts no longer appear at all on Garmin Connect Web. The FIT file itself is correct the data is present and readable using other tools. The charts also continue to display correctly on Garmin Connect Mobile (Android/iOS).
