Limited Maximum Run Cadence on Edit Summary

Former Member
Former Member
Hi Folks,

Having done my short 2.5 mile run, with several mini sprints, and successfully uploaded I wanted to set the days temperature on the Edit page, which I did. However, my Maximum Run Cadence of 113 has been declared Not Permissible! (Average Cadence was 84) Saving the page was not allowed with the error message returning.

I feel that the result is accurate. Any ideas for allowing the input.

Cheers

Mike

Your "Max Run Cadence" value is not within permissible limits

Anything above 100 is meet with this: Your "Max Run Cadence" value is not within permissible limits  Does Garmin connect thing run cadence is a percent? Or does it know about some special law of physiology?

Funny thing is if we really weren't permitted to have a high cadence then the watch should alert us every time we get close: WARNING you are about to break Garmin's law of medicine :p. Or maybe when the activity is downloaded from the device, or when it's uploaded to connect.

I've tried to contact support several times about this stupid restriction without any acknowledge yet. I'll keep sending them a support request every single time it annoys me. But I can't keep a polite tone anymore :-(

Has anyone had a resolution to this yet? One day I ran and it showed my max cadence as 129 though the chart was nowhere near that. Today it was 106 and did show up on the chart as that but I got the same message. I know my max is typically about 95.
  • Its a bug on the Garmin Connect website, serveral fields have the same problem.

If you want to edit more info like weather, suggest you use software like sporttracks. Its a 100x better for adding extra info than the garmin connect site.
