EDGE GARMIN 500 froze with the logo

I've had my Garmin Edge 500 for some months and it has worked flawlessly. But the last time I connected with my computer and finished the connection the unit froze with the Garmin logo on the screen. I have tried a combination of buttons, holding Power/Menu/Reset all at the same time, then the same sequence and keeping Menu held down and plugging in the USB connection to the computer. When I hold the Power/Menu/Start/Reset all simultaneously the screen goes blank, but as soon as I release them the Garmin Logo reappears. The screen appears frozen with the Garmin logo displayed.
I have tried other button combinations but all have been unsucessfull. I don't know what else I can do, can anyone help me?

    Hi LUISMAN4,

    Probably something "bad" in the memory. If no one helps I can try making region firmware disabling edge 500 from reading gpx, fit etc. files from the memory.
