Thanks for my Oregon450t. It is great.
But, I have a general problem in using off road rute navigation with Colorado and Oregon, which I hope that some of you guys can help me in solving.
Over time I have been using different Garmin GPS for off track (outback) navigation with tracks and with rutes (straight lines when off road).
When I generate a rute in MapSource from the waypoints list and activate such a rute on the 76 and 60 series, then I can go to the navigation page and see all the waypoints in my rute. When I scroll down through the waypoints in the list I can get information like ETA and Distance to the highlighted waypoint.
This feature seems to have vanished with the Colorado and Oregon. Is it still possible? And if, how?
(This feature is very valuable when I’m guiding a group of people on a hike. It gives me a good control of the hike, being able to forecast if we stick to the schedule, knowing if we will be at the meeting point in time. Etc.)
The track navigation seems to be OK, but it does not give me estimates for points on my path.
Also, the rute navigation in Oregon and Colorado seems not to work properly. Before I reach a waypoint on my rute, I can get the distance to this waypoint. After I have passed it, the Oregon and Colorado are still showing the distance to the waypoint I just passed and it will remain so.
Help will be appreciated highly. Thanks.
