Tracking fiber in nutrition

I decided to stop using MyFitnessPal and track Nutrition in Garmin Connect, so I subscribed to Connect+. I'm astounded that the Nutrition tracking does not include fiber. There are 15 million people taking GLP-1s, and almost all of us are doing two things: using fitness apps to track nutrition and closely monitoring our fiber intake. This is critical because too little fiber (or too much fiber without enough hydration) causes constipation with GLP-1s.

Please fix this deficiency in Nutrition ASAP, or I'll need to cancel Connect+ and revert to MyFitnessPal (screenshot attached).

Thanks!

  • Garmin would need to treat fiber as its own tracked nutrient category, since it isn’t classified as a macro or micro in their nutrition model. That’s why there’s no daily fiber total in Connect+. If this is a showstopper for you, it’s best to cancel before your 30‑day trial ends. I’m sure Garmin knows users want fiber tracking, but it may not be high enough on their request list yet to rise in their workflow. As others have mentioned, it’s worth submitting the feature through Garmin’s Share Ideas page so they can see the demand.
