Hey all, just got a second hand GPS60 to get me into the world of gps, i've succesfully connected my unit to my pc using basecamp and thru the connect site, everytime i upload a gpx file to my unit it says on the unit 'track truncated' and when i view it in map on my unit it shows only a section of the track i've just uploaded, i'm prob just doing something wrong but i cant figure out what!! Any help for this poor newbie would be appreciated lol. Cheers in advance!
I've been digging around and i think its something to do with waypoints, the gpx i uploaded had 1500 hundred waypoints and as far as i can gather my GPS60 unit can have 10,000 way points, 20 tracks. But i cant figure out if its 10,000 way points divided over 20 tracks or 10,000 way points for each track, or am i just doing something wrong??
Each track can have 500 trackpoints at max for the GPS60CX / CSX. If a track has more, it gets truncated at the 500th trackpoint, so that the 501st and following trackpoints are neither stored on the unit nor shown on screen. I guess it's the same for the GPS60.
Waypoints are a different thing than trackpoints.
