Higher time resolution in player

The time resolution of the player is way to low. On a long ride, it skips over so many data points as to be almost useless. To give a concrete example, in the course of a 169km ride I did at the weekend, one 8.3km climb was reduced by the player to just 16 data points! Your FAQ section has the following:
When viewing an activity on the Player, why doesn't the Player display all the data in my activity?
You're likely viewing an activity that was recorded over a long period of time with a lot of data. In the interest of loading the Player quickly, we've reduced the amount of trackpoint data that the Player processes and therefore the route may appear to take shortcuts.

This doesn't cut it for me. Other GPS sports websites (with far fewer development resources at their disposal than you guys!) have found a way to get around this. I've taken to exporting my data from Garmin Connect and uploading it to ridewithgps.com. Sure, it's not a 'pretty' as Garmin Connect but it can play back a very long ride at the 1-second resolution that many of us need.

i agree, i did 120km on the weekend and i was looking forward to analysing the section where i got dropped, but the 7 km climb was only a couple of points. very hard to compare this hill climb to when i do it as part of shorter climb.

I dont have a power meter, but i would really like to be able to record at 1 sec to look at speeds / cadence during sprints (especially on the track)

This was pointed out in 2010, and here in 2012 this issue still hasn't been addressed!
