A few times per year I find myself in an unknown town and want to take a 5k or 10k run that starts and ends near where I'm staying. Sometimes I get lucky and just run and whatever route I run is okay, other times I'm unlucky and find myself going along busy roads or much further than I was planning.
What I'm trying to do is find 5-10k routes that start within a few blocks of my accommodation. I've never figured out a way to do that so often end up creating a route and making it circular. Feels like other have probably published half-way decent routes, but they are hard to discover in the UI. You can hover over little blue person who may or may not be in the vicinity of your landmark, not quite good enough to be useful.
Any pointers appreciated.
