1390T Traffic Problem

I had a similar problem, and I found it was because I didn't have the power lead plugged into the cradle, as it needs to use the 'antenna' built into the power cable to receive the FM traffic updates.

Hi,all Just purchased a 1390T and it was working great but now the traffic icon does not show in the navigation screen. It shows as enabled under the setup screen. Any ideas?

I'm having the exact same problem (on my 265wt). Has anyone found a fix for this?

1390t No Traffic

Sometimes the traffic icon appears, sometimes it refuses to show up. I am sitting in the car, plugged in, parked in the same spot.

To add to the confusion, it wont show up at all in one of my cars....UNLESS...I manage to get it to show up in one car (after plugging in/out and fiddling) and then walk over to the next car and plug it in there. Then (when I get the icon to show up) it works in both cars. Once I turn off the unit....I have to repeat the process.

Contacted Garmin support....had to pay for shipping (to and from Garmin) a new charger/ant and unit. The items don't work...............

What gives? Anyone

I have a 255wt and my traffic icon on the map is gone too after using the traffic feature for 2 weeks. I exchanged it for another one and no icon but in settings it says navteq lifetime traffic is enabled with a check mark.

Garmin said it must be something with Navteq.:confused:

I have been having trouble with "poor reception" with my new NUVI 3790T on very main roads in London and in the North (A1, M1, M6...so there should be a signal). the traffic master coverage map on the garmin web site is next to useless and is the best they have according to support.

Support have offered to replace my power lead/antenna but is this the problem if other are suffering?
They will not send me anew unit until I return the old "faulty" one.

Is there a faulty batch or a design feature?

Other gps use the Traffic Master system without any problem?

Any one know what FM frequency it uses?

Any one any other ideas?

Useless GPS

Im so angry! Bought it on 25 Sept 2010.. 2 weeks ago did an upgrade of software or something and since then its been useless!!

No voice or sound..I play with the mute /unmute and volumes up and down ..turn it off and still nothing!

Not just that- Bluetooth wont connect anymore.. And if i do luckily get it to, it definatley wont be still connected next time I start the GPS.

Finally, my SUNA traffic doesn't work either! Plugged into car and its pathetic. Same thing as is happening to you..

Did the hard restart- NOTHING

Called Australia Garmin- Was on hold for half an hour, hanged up..
Will email them now..

But am very very pissed off. I believe it must be the latest update thats messing everything up..

See my post under 1490T traffic. I have the same problem. No icon on the map yet it's enabled. These units need serious attention!
