Can't upload to garmin connect-705 EDGE

Hello everyone,

I'm having trouble moving my information from my 705 EDGE to my Garmin Connect account on the web. The last ride that I was able to upload was on 02/10/2010. My last ride on my EDGE was 04/07/2010. I also cannot move these rides to garmin's training center. I think that there maybe something wrong with my EDGE and may have to reset it or reinstall the OS, but would like to get the data off first. The reason I think this is that when I plug it into my computer windows throws up a window asking if I want to scan the disk to fix problems. Here is what the window says.

"Do you want to scan and fix GARMIN (J:)?"
"There might be a problem with some files on this device or disc. This can happen if you remove the device or disc before all files have been written to it."

I don't mind reinstalling the garmin os, but hate to lose the data.

Here is what I have at this time
Garmin 705/EDGE with cadence and heart rate data
Software version 3.10, GPS 2.10, Unit ID:3571790619
I'm using the current web update software (2.42)
Running a laptop with windows vista SP2 I think

If there is a way to extract the data then manually upload that would be great or will be happy to try anything.
