Courses: unable to create a new route

When I go to create a new course, and a new route, unable to finish the new route

So when I go to create a new route, and starting to add routes per street, it freezes and no longer allows any edit

In the last week, it look like Garmin connect app for windows  has an update

Cant help but think, this update is now causing problems

    Yes, this is currently an issue for me as well.  When Routing Type is set to Most Direct, the map freezes and I can’t continue drawing the course. 

    Troubleshooting already done:

    • Cleared cache in Edge
    • Tried Chrome and Firefox
    • Logged out/in
    • Restarted the computer
    • Tried a completely different computer
    • Tried a different Garmin account

    Same result every time. "Most Popular" works, and the mobile app works.

    I opened a support case with Garmin using the chat option.

    Garmin Support : I am going to open up a case to investigate what may be causing this. When I try to recreate the issue on my end through my personal account I have no errors. Just a moment while I write this up

    Since the last update...

    Program crashes when planning a route....

    Routing is all over the place with no logical routing..

    Please revert to the old version as that worked....

    Can you share a video here from logging into Connect and then the process of trying to create the route to where it crashes? And can you confirm what version you are on and web browser.

    This also started happening for me a couple days ago. It is impossible to use at the moment unless I exclusively use Freehand routing (which is a good feature when you need it, but a nightmare for making entire courses).

    Edit: It looks like the issue is specifically with most direct routing for me. Most popular works, but I much prefer most direct. In the meantime, most popular is better than freehand.

    Another case here. Again, all works OK unless Most Direct option is being used.

    Same experience.

    When choosing "most direct" routing type, everything freezes and crashes. 

    Using Google version: 148.0.7778.179

    & still it freezes.. or it's buffering back to the Garmin servers? Perhaps it's the Garmin severs that are the issue???

    I have no issues using "Most Popular," which is what I've been using as a workaround until this is fixed.
