Stroke count feature

I am a novice rower (scull singles) and found the forerunner 305 a great tool to finally get some idea how i am performing on the water.. poorly.
There is an other device that is strapped on to the ore to count the strokes (the twist when you feather the blade once out of the water) could this not be incorporated in our next model or could this be an software update for the 305? it would be fantastic if this information could be seen on the 305 display, and graphed out. This would be a "must have" for any serious coach/rower. Your comments please.
