Activity map (with velocity) not displayed in Garmin Connect

Hi,

My last activity (12/04/2026), created with a Garmin Edge 705, was properly saved and the .tcx file just looks like any other .tcx file I had before, but the activity is not displayed on the map: I cannot see the track nor the velocity (with the range of colours). I also tried to cancel the activity and re-upload it, but nothing changed.

It is the first time I have this issue.

Has anyone ever had the same issue or knows how to solve?

  • I solved the issue: there was a point in the middle of the tcx file with correct timing but no recorded position, so Garmin Connect blocked the map display. I do not know if Garmin has recently strengthened its file-checking policy but in 15 years it is the first time I have this issue...
