Is your goal to make user experience as inconvenient as possible?

The old website was universally loved by uses, now some genius made it this humongous monstrosity that we have today. Loads like crap, more often the map does not load at all etc...

But to make things worse now you have to click Save when changing gear for example.... Who thought this is necessary? Used to be you just tick the gear and it is done. Now we have to add another step to make things just worse and worse. Dont you get that a very large part of garmin users are garmin users cause of the garmin connect website and the features it provides... (or should I say used to provide).

Would have switched to Suunto or Coros a long time ago, if they would just hava a useable web interface. But if you keep making this more crap with every version, then soon you will lose a considerably chunk of people who are sticking around for this.

So you are moaning about a save button from a section of the system that has actually improved how gear is integrated, especially for those of us that 8 pairs of shoes and various other equipment in our rotation? This has enhanced the user experience for me, not made it worse.

How exactly has this improved anything? What was wrong with just selecting the right pair from the dropdown menu? click click and you are done. Maybe your wise butt can educate those of us who have 30+ pairs of shoes in the rotation on how having to scroll down to see the save button is a good idea?

My wise butt does if from my watch after my runs so I don't have to log into a computer and change stuff I could have done straight away before even getting into the house.

Not all of us have such a fancy 1k watch that can do this.

The FR 570 and 970 aren't 1k and I got my 970 in the January sales. Even doing it through the Connect app on your phone is quicker than doing it on a pc and the save button is at the top of the screen so just edit your activity in the app, edit gear, select your gear, click save at the top of screen, done.

So let me get this straight? I "moan" about the web interface getting worse, you say i don't know what i'm talking about, cause some mysterious item (what i don't quite understand) is now better organized but you instead use your watch to do that function what I "moan" about and prior to getting your new watch in the beginning of the year, used your phone? Sounds like true flat earth logic.

You are moaning about a 1st world problem. It's a save button, it takes 1 second longer to click, it's static at the bottom of the screen. You scroll down, select the gear you have used, you click save. They added the save button as you can now select multiple items of gear (ie a pair of shoes and a weighted vest). It worked on one click before because you were only able to select 1 item of gear, it won't work if you want to add multiple items so therefore it has enhanced the user experience as you and now add multiple items at once. You clearly don't work in the software industry as adding a save button to something like this where you want to multiple choices of something is common practice.

You could have selected multiple gear also before. What are you talking about?
