Can't pair heart rate monitor!

Hi all,

Hope you can help me out. I have the Forerunner 50, the foot pad has paired fine, but the heart rate monitor just won't get picked up by the watch.

I've followed the instructions, but at a loss as to what I'm doing wrong. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Could be flat battery on the HR monitor. Some people have had success by inserting the battery in the wrong polarity for a few seconds and then putting it in the right way and re-pairing. I assume you are wearing the strap ?

The unit is brand new, but I'll try that. Have been wearing it yes. :(

Ok, found the problem - dead battery. Didn't think to check that first, because it was brand new!
