Managing two watches on Garmin Connect

I have two watches in Garmin Connect, a fenix and a FR255.

Now, an activity done with fenix is appearing as well on the list of FR255 activities altough FR255 stayed at home.

Is it normal?

How to reset FR255 to zero activities, but leaving all the settings already done ? and having the two watches completely separated on Garmin Connect?

Thanks!

  • They can't be separated if you are using the same Garmin account. Both watches will always try to stay in sync and download data that the other watch has uploaded.

Why do you want them to be separate?

  • Thanks! I want them to be separated because I would give the FR255 to my wife, but I need that FR255 starts from zero.

Should I use another account for my wife on Garmin Connect? and how to set FR255 to zero activities, without deleting all the settings I have done (time each hour, morning report, notifications etc.)?

  • Yes, use another account for your wife. Each user should have their own account. Never ever use the same account for multiple users.

The watch got your personal data (HR, training load, status, HRV, age, weight, stride length and so on) since it is connected or has been connected to your account. Every time a watch changes user it should be factory reset. That will remove all activities and settings. Setting it up again will not take many minutes and I guess she wants her own settings instead of yours. It is also a great way to learn the watch. Start without doing any settings except for the first setup. Make the changes to the settings when there is a reason to changing them.

  • Thank you! I will proceed in the way you suggest.
