Garmin Edge 705 Total Ascent (Edge 500)

I need a data field for vertical Speed (like Edge 500 "Total Ascent" total elevation gain for the current ride).

For MTB Biker like me its an essential Feature and no-go criteria if missing.

I would be great if that date field could be included in the firmware.

It's a no go for you right now then. The 705 lacks some of the newer features of the 500, even if they are simply data fields. The best you can do is to make a suggestion to Garmin Support.
