In GarminConnect I attempted to upload a gpx file, but despite an apparently successful upload indicated by a ✔ I got a message saying that some activities could not be created. When I went into my activities there was nothing there. Would anyone have an idea as to why this happened? Thank you. :confused:
I experienced the same in a case, where no timestamps were present in the GPX file. Consider to upload the file, so we can have a look at the cause of the error. You might also explain how you ended up with a GPX file (from a program or directly from a device?)
Nevertheless, I agree, that the Garmin Connect message should be more informative.
Do not save your tracks in your GPSMAP devise or any other older type GPS. You must upload the activelog directly from the devise to MapSource (or whatever). If you save the track in the devise it removes the timestamp and all the speed data and then it will not load into GC.
