Connecting Foot Pod to FR60

Hi, I am brand new to the FR60, and ordered it with the HR monitor. However, I ordered the foot pod separately, and am unable to get the watch to pick it up. It scans and says "SDM not found". Does anyone know how to remedy this situation?

Thank You!
  • Your footpod needs to be active for the FR60 to pair up with it, and the watch needs to be in 'Run' mode (not Bike or Other). Put the footpod on your shoe, then go to the footpod pairing menu, and push the Enter button when you have 'yes' selected on the watch, then walk a bit while you hold your arm down by your side like you would while you're running. It should pick up the footpod within a few seconds.

It is possible that the footpod has a dead battery. If the above procedure doesn't work, then remove the battery, wait about a minute, then install the new battery. Repeat the pairing procedure.

I am also encountering the same message. I bought Garmin F60 bundled with (HR monitor+footpod). I tried to pair it as instructed in the user manual. the HR monitor works well but not the footpod. Is it possible to have battery issue even if it is brand new?
