User manual for Oregon 450, 450t, 550, 550t --

The standard manual seems little more than a "Quick Start" guide. For example: Altimeter calibration -- no discussion of "fixed elevation" compared to "variable elevation." No discussion of elevation plotting. "Calibration" -- I get a screen, with some numbers. No discussion in the manual what the numbers mean, nor how to calibrate.

I finally figured it out after two days.

Temperature -- there's a Fahrenheit / Celcius option. I don't see any temp readout on any screen.

Tides -- I found the screen. I get a list of cities, press a city location option and get a location on what looks like a Base Map screen. Where's the tidal data?

There are a lot of features on the Garmin 450 (my GPS). So far, three days now, I'm impressed with the unit.

I'm not impressed with the documentation. I can't use it without documentation.
