Resistance Training Support

I’ve been a loyal/consistent Garmin user for years, largely because Garmin is one of the only ecosystems that actually tracks %RM (One-Rep Max) and Load Volume within the watch and app. However, as it stands, this data is essentially "trapped." We can record it, but we can't much with it.

For a platform that is the gold standard for VO2 Max and Training Readiness, the strength side feels neglected. I am calling on the Garmin Dev Team to bridge this gap by making strength metrics as gamified and analytical as running and cycling.

The Ask:

Load Volume Dashboards: We need a way to visualize total volume trends over weeks/months to track progressive overload.

Strength Badges & Monthly Challenges: Why are there no badges for "Total Volume Moved" or "Relative Strength" (e.g., 2x Bodyweight Deadlift)? We need monthly challenges to augment motivaton in the rack, just like the "Step" or "Running" challenges.

The "Big Lifts" Consistency: Recognition for consistency in the core barbell movements (Clean, Snatch, Jerk, OHP, Bench, Row, Deadlift, and Squat).

1RM PR Notifications: The watch should celebrate a new 1RM PR just as it does for a "Fastest 5k."

As someone who works professionally with the Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) System, I see the potential for Garmin to be the ultimate tool for tactical athletes.
