How to get splits to hundredths of second accuracy on garmin connect

Tried a method in here:

How to get the timestamp to millisecond accuracy

which doesn’t seem to work anymore, is there an updated method?

  • In the Connect website:

    1) Open activity of interest

    2) Click on gear icon (top-right hand corner)

    3) Select Export File

This will download your activity as the original FIT file (within a ZIP). (Note that any edits will not be reflected in the export)

    4) Open fitfileviewer.com

    5) Click the Open FIT File button and select the file you downloaded in step 3

    6) Click the Lap table to expand it.

You will see lap times with 1/100th second precision and distance with 1/100th m precision.

If you click on the Developer Mode toggle, you can even see the raw data from the file (i.e. not normalized to easy-to-understand units), but some of it may be hard to interpret.

  • thank you so much!
