Where can i report a bug? I have just update my dakota 20 to v.2.80. Now i have problem save my track. The device is just turning itself off.

I did not have this problem with 2.70

tested eneloop charge battery and normal battery you buy in the store, same problem. So it´s not the power

There´s the solution !!! As ussualy the technical support of Garmin are efficient.

So you must connect the dakota to your PC then go to folder garmin and there you must delete the folder GPX.

Disconect your Dakota restart and there´s the solution. It works in my device.

    I got a Dakota 10 last week.
I have updated the firmware to 2.90 but the bug is still there.
I tried also your suggestion but it does not seem to work.

I contacted the garmin support they told me to make an hard reset but it didn't work.

yes mate your right it still crashes when you delete the gpx folder, so 2.90 is still making the gps crash when you save a track.
the only way to save tracks is to go back to 2.70 , and wait for a fix on the track save crash

The only version it works is 2.61 beta.

    https://buy.garmin.com/shop/store/downloadsDetails.jsp?id=4751&product=010-00781-01&cID=145&pID=30926

Why it is the only available on the web?

look at the post i made on hear no5, that will sort you out with 2.70

this is what i said in post 5
    GO HEAR http://gawisp.com/perry/dakota/

plug your gps into your pc then drag and drop the rgn file you downloaded to your garmin Web-updater short cut, this will make 2.70 firmware install on your gps. you dont need to rename the file just drag and drop as said above if you dont have webupdate software on your pc download it lol

I also have exactly the same problem. I thought it was a hardware fault at first until I found this thread. I will have to try downgrading to 2.70 :(

    Thanks for the advice.
