Where can i report a bug? I have just update my dakota 20 to v.2.80. Now i have problem save my track. The device is just turning itself off.

I did not have this problem with 2.70 :confused:

tested eneloop charge battery and normal battery you buy in the store, same problem. So it´s not the power

    the dakota 20 is now useless with 2.80 update
    1. it wont show geocaches on 1/50 maps any more
    2, when navigating on roads in a car it tells you to go round roundabouts the wrong way now
    3, compass seems to go all over the place now
    4, when your tracking your movements its not right it just moves in a strait line instead of moving where you have been.
    5, maps seem to load slower in the new update than the older one

    is there any way to go back to 2.70 as my dakota 20 is now crap lets hope it is sorted soon

    GO HEAR http://gawisp.com/perry/dakota/

    then drag and drop the rgn file you downloaded to your garmin Web-updater short cut,this will make 2.70 firmware install on your gps. you dont need to rename the file just drag and drop as said above if you dont have webupdate software on your pc download it lol

    Sorry my bad english :-)

    I don´t think you can downgrade the firmware. If you see the link http://garmindakota.wikispaces.com/Versions
    the gps software is diffrent then 2.70.
    But i´m not sure, just look like it

    Thanks . Here is how i did it

    * Use the links below under http://gawisp.com/perry/dakota/Dakota_WebUpdater__270.gcd
    * Change the name of the file you just download to gupdate.gcd
    * Attach the Dakota to your computer and verify that it is in USB Mass storage mode
    * Copy gupdate.gcd to [DK drive]:\Garmin\gupdate.gcd
    * Restart the Dakota

    It work on my gps
