Downloading health data for analysis

I'm after "health" data from one particular day. I've followed the instructions to download the data via my Account Details. From what I'd read, this would be a fit file, but I can't read it in fitfileviewer. The file name seems to be just the date itself. 

How do I change this to something I can read / show to my GP?

    Personally, when I download the data for example for today, I get the file "2026-01-28.zip", and the zip archive contains about two dozens of FIT files with suffixes like _METRICS, _HRV_STATUS, _SLEEP_DATA, _WELLNESS, etc.

    If you are sure your computer does not suppress the extensions (that's the current default behavior of Windows, I believe), and if the file does not have zero bytes size, then try adding the extension .zip manually. Or just open it with your favorit zip/unizp program (I use 7-Zip)

    Cool. I've downloaded it to an Android phone which doesn't seem to like it. By adding a .zip extension I've managed to get the Google Files app to unzip it.
