I can't see the export function anymore on the Details page. I can export a CSV file from the Splits section, but not a tcx anywhere....

Anyone else experiencing this, or am I missing somethign??!!

The export function is just below the map on the Details page when viewing an activity.

It seems that if you don't have the GPS function turned on, you can't export your HR/Cadence/Etc data? The new activity page only shows Share, Embed, and Print. You should still be able to export a tcx file, right?

    thanks

  • On non gps data, ie on an elliptical in the gym, the top chart of time v time tries to continually load, the heart rate chart is fine, the others are missing as is the export function as mentioned above.

    Export manually entered Activities

When I go to elliptical and forget to take Forerunner 310XT with me I find myself entering activities manually, including name of activity, type, time and calories burnt.

I want to export these activities to Garmin Training Center so I can keep a local backup dataset. Unfortunately there is no "export" icon in Garmin Connect for these activities.

The same is true for data from elliptical captured using my Forerunner 310XT (i.e. data not entered manually but lacks GPS because it is indoor training)

Is there any way I can back up these data?

Moreover, when is Garmin Connect going to add a backup option for the full set of activities like Training Center rather than one by one?

Right now is very frustrating as I have to keep activities updated in both systems if I want to take local backups of my data. And yet even this does not work with indoor training or manually entered activities.

I guess they do this to lock customers in. I am thinking of moving to another software altogether before I get locked in. http://www.runnersstudio.com/ here I come.

I have run into the same problem as I have already posted.
I use my Edge 500 daily on the bike trainer with gps turned off for obvious reasons. While indoors the I cant get gps reception and on the trainer I am not really going anywhere anyway so gps is not needed. The problem is since the new Connect update, we don't have the option to export file, unless gps was turned on during activity.
Does Garmin plan on fixing this?

Please reinstate this as I like to see my heartrate by zone and I don't think this can be done outside of the training center!

    Export function gone!

I have an FR60 eg. no GPS, but would still like to be able to export my runs for backup as I could before the recent update of garmin connect.

    Btw.
It would also be great if it was possible to import map data from google maps as I usually use this application to draw my route.

    try this..

    connect.garmin.com/.../xxxxxxxx

where xxxxxxxx is the activity number.
This will get you your tcx file even if there is no map associated.

    Thanks. This works for me.
  • I want the export function back for FR60 activities!!!!

Please add me to the list of people who would like to see the export function re-added for non-GPS (e.g. FR60) activities. I need to export my files to TCX to manually add lap distances for my swimming splits. I was able to do this until the most recent changes to Garmin Connect.
    Thanks,
    Matt
