It would be great if Garmin Connect would allow manual input for body fat. My caliper is a pretty good one and I don't see why I should track this kind of data elsewhere.
But just in case you have an Android device or a BB Playbook, I've made a free app that allow you to upload all your tanita data to Garmin Connect in one click.

+1, I have Tanita BC-541composition monitor and would love to be able to manually input the values it measures. Not willing to fork out $$$ for a similar product just to gain a wireless feature.
I just emailed support but every body should who comes on this forum. Its annoying not having this feature when we've all paid upwards of 400 for the garmin products.
If you're feeling lazy just cut and paste my message to Garmin(Below):
There are numerous complaints about Garmin Users not being able to access the Measurements area and to input their Body Fat, Body water, Bone Mass, Muscle mass etc. The data is very simple to input without having to purchase the Tanita BC-1000. All of us users have invested a significant amount of money already with Garmin products and not to have access to a simple data input area is upsetting.
At least reply to the forums where the question has been asked numerous times. I've spent over 500 on these products and I cant afford to spend 300 more on the Tanita when I can do it for free on my own.
Garmin's reply -- manual entry will not be included in an update
Dear Nick,
Thank you for contacting Garmin International.
I will be more than happy to continue support today.
We thank you for your reply, but Garmin Connect will only be using the option for such data management of body fat and other options using only the Tanita BC 1000 scale and we will not be issuing other options for use with our application.
Garmin Connect is intended to be used with Garmin products and select Ant+ accessories.
Have a great evening.
With Best Regards,

Original Message Follows: ------------------------ Thanks for the reply. However, I'd like to track my body fat and other stats using my existing scale. I have no desire to purchase a Tanita BC-1000, as my Garmin 910xt and accessories were quite expensive enough. =)
Perhaps there could be a software update to enable manual entry? It appears that I am not alone in my interest here.

Am I correct in thinking that Garmin, like RunKeeper et al, are only interested in getting our cash and/or forcing us to buy more bloody gear like the TANITA BC-1000 (£150 in the UK)?
I paid £300 for my 910XT! I reckon at that price point I deserve to be listened to.... Yet again we see what happens when there is a monopoly. Consumers are virtually powerless.....
