What happened to the workout details page

I see the workout details page is recently changed. However, I can no longer see the elevation or heart rate graph. They are all blank now. Is this a work in progress or do I need to change a setting?

  • Ooops. I had only looked in the Announcements section, but I just saw the downtime announcement in the sub-forum, which I didn't check.

This is probably related. Sorry for posting.
  • No Graphs appearing in Details

I too have this problem and when I checked another user the same. I am running Mac OS 10.6.3 with Safari version 4.0.5 and have not checked another browser. Seems like the graphs did not get implemented properly. The improvements look great though!
  • Delighted to see elevation correction.

The graphs on the details page are, well, odd, at least in Firefox.

Windows Vista + Internet Explorer 7 show static graphs, which look fine.
In Firefox 3.6, the graphs show player controls, and scales from 0-80 to the left and 0-100 along the bottom, but no plotted data. Doesn't respond to clicking any of the player controls.

Edited to add: just noticed the comment in the downtime announcement about bringing the site back in stages. I'll get some kip and have another look in the morning :)

    Problems Persist

It's well after the scheduled down time and the problem persists. In Firefox the graphs have the controls but are still blank. Another problem I found: in the My Connect> Activities page, clicking on "Show Filters" and "More Action" does nothing. It seems to work in Safari 4.

Another thing I noticed: When looking at the map in the player, my route seems to be missing a lot of the detail. My route jumps from point to point, sometimes over water and very rarely on my real route. This happens with Safari and Firefox. Is anyone else having this issue?

Does anyone from Garmin read these?
  • I found that clearing my browser cache and cookies resolved all the issues I had with the charts and the filters not working. I am using Chrome and IE8.

I cleared everything, so don't know whether the problem is specifically cookies or a caching problem.
  • Nice job TR3VORM! I reset Safari and now all of my graphs are working. The folks at Garmin should have a note posted that you need to reset the browsers. I think this update is bringing more usability to Garmin Connect.
  • I reset my Cache on Safari 4.05 on Mac OS 10.6.2 and still no charts.
  • I had to do more than reset the cache on Safari. Here is a screenshot of the settings I used. After this, my graphs appeared and are working in all activities.

  • Thanks, there is no need to clear the history for this " reset" to work.

Remember that because you have cleared the reset the cookies all of your "remember me" sites the password and user name will have to be re-entered.

  • I was able to fix this problem in Chrome by going to the Adobe Website Storage Settings panel and deleting all the cached website data.

The Storage Settings panel is an online aplication from Adobe found here:
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html#117717

This didn't work for Firefox 3.6. I had to go into the Advanced Network tab and Clear the Offline Storage. That fixed the problem and I didn't lose any stored passwords or website history.

The changes to the site look great. Thanks Garmin.
